100% of proceeds go to Peter Mac Foundation

Peter Mac Foundation is the fund raising arm of Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute, where Mark received the majority of his treatment and care. The Foundation has kindly created the "Mark Baldock Memorial Fund" and all receipts directed to this fund assist with funding of sarcoma research.

Oct 21, '07 - Karate Tournament - $1,320

Ceberano Martial Arts Academy held a tournament
for all of its Melbourne schools and raised $1,320!

Congratulations and thanks to Paul Ceberano and
his staff,
as well as the students and their families
for this very generous effort!

Sep 28, '07 - Texas Hold 'Em Tournament - $670

First off two BIG thank you notes for Alisha "Dirligaf" and Trev "Hop Along" who hosted a fantastic night and opened their home to a staggering 17 entrants and to Mark's Mum Trish "Big Mumma" who came and showed us where Mark learned his wild and wooley style from by beating the pants off a number of people and making it to the final 8.

A HUGE thank you to all those who turned up and helped us raise almost $700 for Peter Mac who do so much for Cancer sufferers. Let's hope that we get more to our next annual event which will be to raise money for the Royal Childrens Hospital leading up to the Good Friday Appeal.

Now for the wrap up:

First place went to Chris "Mr Smithers", Second to "Big" Nick and Third place went to me, "Gio," after a couple of big pots that saw the lead go up and down like a politician's popularity poll, with some really exciting races that kept most people there even after they busted out to watch the game along the way. Chris being the big winner for the night will have his name and the exact amount raised engraved on a plate to go on the Plaque that Trev and Alisha arranged and I hope to see new names and greater sums raised every year we hold this event.

Alsiha was good enough to take lots of Pics through the night and they should be available soon.

Regards

John
